We’ve recently sold our house through Balgores. We can honestly say that the service, from enquiry, through marketing and onto sales progression has been exceptional. Their marketing collateral was well produced and they were able to get us significant interest in our property despite a challenging market. All of the team were professional and supportive. I decided to use Balgores for the sale of my property as they were the agents who I initially bought it from. As a buyer the experience was really good, unfortunately as a seller the same cannot be said. If you have read lots of positive reviews about Balgores, it may be worth noting many of these are from tenants and landlords and NOT sellers… something to bear in mind.

Balgores repeatedly failed to meet my expectations. I am currently living between two properties and on occasions I have been away from my home when viewings have been carried out. In my absence, I gave Balgores very clear instructions on what I expected when they were showing potential buyers round. It is also worth noting that I have both internal and external CCTV at my property – something which Balgores was aware of. Despite this I witnessed prospective buyers being shown around by estate agents who didn’t care, had no knowledge of the property and generally didn’t seem very professional (chewing gum, showing up later than potential buyers, sitting on the sofa in my living room texting after potential buyers had left etc). I mentioned to the branch manager Dillon a few times how disappointed I was with the service and he assured me that he would personally complete all the viewings going forward – this never happened despite me complaining several times. He also mentioned that he would speak to his team about my concerns – it is unclear if this happened or not but if Dillon did speak to his team they clearly have no respect for him at all as nothing changed.

After being constantly lied to by Dillon and his team, generally getting the impression that Balgores were not actually interested in selling my property in the time frame I gave, and Balgores showing my property to potential buyers who’s maximum budget was lower than my minimum asking price resulting in several offers way below asking, I decided enough was enough and went to a different estate agent. Despite only having my property on the market for a few days with my new agent, have already had several appointments booked in.

I would do your research before jumping into a contract with Balgores – based on my experience I am glad they will not be receiving any commission from my property.

100% recommend Balgores not only did we sell our house with them we also purchased our new property!! Saoire at the Romford branch in Victoria road rm12hs especially was amazing she answered all our questions and helped us every step of the way and we needed a lot of questions answered and help!! Nothing was too much trouble for her, she was honest, happily gave her opinion and advice on selling our property and gave advice in different areas Balgores cover which she didn’t need to, she could of just told us to contact them ourselves. I have dealt with other estate agents during this process – bairstow eves in particular. Saoire was also helpful with that situation as bairstow eves didn’t believe that we had an offer on our property!! We had originally made an offer with them on a property they massively lacked communication, never returned phonecalls or emails and after a month we decided to look elsewhere and found our dream home with Balgores with the help of Saoire!! So thankyou massively to Saoire!!

The whole process of renting a house was so easy and without any worries or hassles, thanks to this agency. I highly recommend it.
