I have used Ashton since we moved to the area in 2000. Brought our 1st residential house through Francis. Used their broker Subash for a mortgage for our 1st Buy to Let. Now using them as managing agents. Never had any issues. They have contractors for the electrical or gas certificate annual requirements, or you can use your own. The property report we receive as a landlord is detailed and on time highlighting any issues. Charlotte and Dav are always helpful and send timely reminders for things that need addressing for our tenants. All round pleasure to deal with and very professional and helpful. No hesitation in recommending them to either purchasers, landlords or tenants.

Very rude agent that we spoke to on the phone, was extremely blunt and seemed as though she could not be bothered with her job. Secondly, a woman we spoke to after viewing one of their properties was very stuck up and kept mentioning how we “just” made the threshold for the property, we were comfortably above the threshold, she also kept mentioning that the property is in high demand, speaking as though she knew we were not getting the property even though at that point we were the only people who had put forward an application, very snobby. Just found the property re-uploaded back on to Rightmove, nice to see they chose the right people for the property the first time round…👍 On a positive note, the woman who held the viewing was very nice, that’s about the only nice thing about this estate agents.

These guys are amazing! From my years of experience of dealing with estate agents I have not seen anyone like Jack – he is your man! Always ready to go the extra mile, find a workable solution, always pleasant to talk to and our complex transaction would definitely not have happened without him and his team! Very disappointed with Balgores. Extremely unprofessional not wanting to pass my offer on to a seller despite it being on the market for many months. I called back a month later to ask if my offer could be put forward a second time round and ended up with a very argumentative staff member who still refused. No idea why they are deciding what should be put forward and what shouldn’t, no wonder it’s been on the market for months – avoid at all costs!

We would highly recommend Balgores in South Woodham Ferrers. We were very impressed with all of the team who worked professionally and efficiently with regards to the sale of our house. The valuation carried out by Clive was so quick and efficient. The marketing was amazing and from our property going on the market to our completion day the team were fantastic and we can’t thank them enough!

Please stay mileeees away from them either it’s sale, purchase or lettings, they won’t tell you all the facts about property until deal gets agree even after that will still be looking other interested people if they could make more money out – I had sale agreed on 05/01/2022 and was clearly told there is no chain involved as soon I had survey done and had mortgage offer seller and estate agent both have changed the story that there will be chain seller is looking to buy and will only move out once find something I was desperately looking chain free and wanted to move in asap due to my work commitments then month after month keep changing stories and after 06 months in July 2022 finally got closer to exchange my solicitor pointed out that sale was agreed on 62 years basis now lease is 61 years you have right to negotiate as soon as I ask them to negotiate they decided to get someone else agreed on sale and told me they pulling out seller don’t want to sale then I found out they actually had someone else agreed to purchase, made us waste all our time and so much money for mortgage broker and solicitor – VERY unprofessional, unreliable and pathetic they shouldn’t be in our borough.
